This is a beautiful looking beer, a nice clear copper color, with a nice light tan head topping it all off. The head clings to the sides as you consume. Fresh bread, caramel, toasty malt, and some weak spiciness make up the aroma. The beer starts off sweet, a good malty sweetness and finishes bitter. A solid amber lager.

Strong, crisp aroma is mainly malty and has quite a bite to it. I got a mild skunky whiff, but that hardly put me off. It pours a nice clear, dark coppery amber with a thick and fluffy pale tan head that sticks around for a while. Flavor is fairly typical for a lager, except fairly strong and with nary a trace of the skunkiness I detected in the aroma. Maybe I was smelling things? ;) It does have a hoppy, somewhat bitter tone with a hint of something nasty, but it is still decidedly drinkable. Texture has average body and average fizziness. Overall, not great but worth a try. Maybe this sample was from not their best batch.

this amber hued beer smells both nutty and lightly spiced. definitely malt driven though some hops shine through as well. not too shabby for 1.25.....................

Copper colored body with a very thin cap, some lace left behind. Aromas of nut bread. mouthfeel is medium to light, with a slight carbonation bite. Flavors of caramel malt, with a bitter alcohol tinged finish. Not too bad.

11oz bottle, enjoy by 1/29/12. Pours a slightly hazy copper amber with a small rocky off white head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is sweet toasted malts with some vegetal notes.
The flavor is sweet toasted malts with some balancing bitterness in the finish. I get some off plasticky notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, I didn't really care for it. Some off notes and I don't care for toasted ambers like Fat Tire. -

It pours a dark copper and brown with an inch-thick light-tan head and some lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, breads and biscuits, bitterness, and light spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth, thick, and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, bitterness, breadiness, and spices. Nice fall brew!
