German ale with rich toffee notes. A classic German style amber ale that’s seldom seen among American craft beer offerings. Rich and full-bodied with a complexity mass-produced beers cannot match. The finish is in perfect harmony with sweet crystal malts and a subtle noble hop profile. SRM: 9.1 • IBU: 26 OG: 13.2º PLATO 5.5% ALCOHOL BY VOLUME

Aroma is yeasty, malty, and just a little dusty. It pours a clear orange amber with a fairly thick, fine-bubbled head that hangs around for a bit and leaves a fair amount of lacing. Flavor is malty, a little yeasty, slightly sour and a snip bitter. There are hints of tart citrus and wood. Texture is smooth and edgy, leaving a nice fizz behind on the tongue as well as a hint of lemon.

This poured a copper color with a beige head. The aroma contains some citrus, caramel and toffee with a slight floral presence. The flavor consists of some caramel, toffee, and a hint of citrus. Some dark fruit also lingering in there. The finish is rather dry with a hint of bitterness. Overall a pretty good beer.

Bottle courtesy of durhambeer. Pours deep red with a white head. Smells rosey with some sweet malty hints. Tastes of brown sugar with some dark fruit, spicy and earthy.

Knoxville Brewers' Jam 2008. Pours a light amber with a thin head and some lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet caramel malts and hops. Taste is smooth and slightly sweet with a malty base and then a decent hops finish.
