Not really much of anything going on with this beer, and it was a considerable let down. An aroma of fresh cut green apples, with soft spicy hops. Amber in color with a huge, exploding head which sat clumsily atop the beer for a VERY long time. Mouthfeel was harsh and overly carbonated. Reminded me of drinking club soda (same effect). Flavor is mostly spicy hops, minerally with an overabundance of carbonation muddling up the whole beer. Difficult to finish.

bottled, from Fête de la Bière 2005, Lausanne - the beer is nervously foaming out of the bottle; it pour a red-amber colour with a dense and persistant hea, it has a pronounced spicy nose (ginger comes to mind) with lingering herbal notes, very creamy mouthfeel and a medium malt body, the hops show themselves strongly in the finish, making it very bitter and dry, long and spicy - a beer with a deep character

Comes in a pint bottle purchased at the Rogue Pub, Newport. Apparently Rogue are the soleimporters in America for this and another Freeminer beer called Trafalgar IPA. Very pretty looking amber coloured ale, it is very slightly hazy. Great looking ,well proportion creamy thick off white head. It has an attractive aroma, quite well balanced between the caramel English style malts and the American spicy hops..slight yeast also apparent. mmm..quite an odd taste to this one..its all hoppiness and carbonation as i start the glass..the malts barely noticed..lending to a rather unbalanced fizzy mouthful..but after it heats up the malts appear and lend the much needed balance. The finish is rather sweet and mellow. Intrigueing mouthfeel..keeps you coming back to see what else is going to happen. Odd beer it really only shows its excellent flavour if it is at quite warm room temps..but I would probably try it again.
