Pure tropical, fruity pleasure in a glass. Fresh orange zest and heaps of extremely aromatic hops give this beer bright, intense flavours of mango, papaya and bitter orange. A restrained yet present bitterness makes you want that next sip, and the next one, and the one after that. Hoppy, zesty and refreshing. Your great-grandad probably dressed dapper, wore a monacle and had a trim, well-styled moustache. Then he jumped a boat and headed to America, inspired by the New World. Upon arrival he realised they were just a bunch of savages, trying their hardest to carve out a new life amongst rattlesnakes, coyotes and the Irish, so he returned to the comfort of his home in rural Kent and raised chickens... but that spirit of adventure never died, and now generations on we cross the Atlantic and the Pacific and once more venture into the New World to create this aromatic, juicy beer full of youthful vibrancy. We can it, we keg it and we drink it to celebrate good times.

Oct. 2017: 500 ml can, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 5.9%, IBU 56. Golden colour, large white head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruits (mango and papaya), also citrus. Flavour of citrus and piney hops, hints of tropical fruits, the bitterness appears as moderate. A well balanced and very good beer.

500ml can from LCBO. Pours a large frothy white head and has a slightly hazy golden orangey appearance. Big thick dirty lacing. Aromas of citrus and floral hops, some mild pine and grassy notes as well. Flavours are quite fruity and citrusy, some nice pine notes. A little bit of wheat as well as subtle tropical fruit notes, not overly abundant but still fairly noticeable. Smooth and slick mouthfeel. A little bit of dryness in the finish.

The beer pours a slightly hazed gold colour with some mild bubbling action and a generous light cream coloured rocky head that dissipates to a thin rocky film after a minute or so. The aroma is cereal grains, passion fruit, and a little bit of mustiness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, a fair bit of creaminess, and below average carbonation (how very British of them). The flavour is cereal malt, tropical fruit, and nice bitter hop finish. Not as flavourful as the Omnipollo Zodiac I had earlier, but still decently flavoured.
