Our Hop Knot IPA is made only from American malt and lots of American hops, which produce a big, broad-shouldered, hoppy beer backed up by a character as warm as, well, Mom and apple pie… Hop Knot IPA get its peculiar name from the weaving of four different hops added at four separate times during the brewing process. Including our cavernous hop-back, which gets so stuffed with whole leaf hops that we feel genuine guilt for its excess. Hop Knot is an ale that is to be enjoyed with friends, spicy food or any time you need a good hop fix without the harsh bitterness. We hope you enjoy this pioneering beer made in the bold spirit of Americans everywhere.

Taps clear topaz with a nice ivory head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma provides resiny hops, zesty malt and a citrus hint. Flavor has resiny hops, sweet citrus and tropical notes plus more thsn a hint of stone fruit, zesty raw malt. Texture gives firm body and peppy fizz. Hop this knot!

Very good and true to type IPA, but no interesting or unique qualities to set it apart from the masses. However, very good and drinkable IPA that I hope to have again very soon -get like maybe in about 5 hours.

On draft at the 4P w/ Bockyhorsey. The pour was fairly usual for the style, above average, nice presentation. The aroma was citrus hops for the most part, some slight floral notes. The flavor was citrus, floral, some light pine, but the malt depth was a little weak (biscuity if anything), leaving a slight watery element to the flavor. Not a bad brew, just need to beef up the base beer-ness and we might have something! Thanks for joining me, Bill!

this beer caught me off gaurd. first time i had it i was very amazed at the full hop aroma and mouthfeel. for being such a light golden color it displayed more flavor than i had hoped for. currently on draught my bar Local Dough i find our keg to be less flavorful then the keg on tap at a near by pub called the hut. though our keg seems to be some what bunk (still more than drinkable) i will not hessitate on ordering it again.

Light orange body. Nose of citrus hops and apricots. Taste is a bit lighter than the nose sould indicated, but still solid; light crisp citrus hops, a touch of apricots and some other citrus notes and a small malt backbone. Aftertaste sticks and last. Decent brew.

On tap. This ale pours a light orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is citrusy and earthy. A medium bodied Pale Ale/IPA. Malts are caramel and sweet, touch of toffee. Hops are citrusy and floral. A touch earthy as well. Nice balance. This beer tastes like a cross between an American Pale Ale, a India Pale Ale and an Amber. Hoppy without a lot of hop bitterness, with a fair amount of malt sweetness. Definitely not to any style, but an interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours with a golden-orange body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. woah...I’m not liking this one. It’s sweet and slightly hoppy but it’s got some wierd notes to it that just make it bad. Medium bodied and smooth.
