What’s better on a warm day in the mountains (or at sea level, for that matter) than relaxing with a strong beer that drinks easy? Hoptitude has an aromatic orange rind nose courtesy of a late addition of Pacifica hops from New Zealand, a bready malt backbone, a refreshing hop flavor reminiscent of dry grapefruit, and a palate cleansing finish.

A murky yellow-orange tinged colored beer with a small, one fingered sudsy textured off white head rising relatively briefly above. A light hoppiness in the nose. A floral and citric hoppiness intense in the tasting. The sharp tartness is balanced by a sweet malt. Moderate bodied.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear straw yellow with a medium creamy white head that goes to a thin film and laces the glass.

The aroma is subdued - some bready malts and a little grassy, almost skunky, hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with a little fruit and a lot of bitter grassy hops that taste a little noble-like. The mouthfeel is medium to light bodied and a little watery.

Overall, I don't really care for it. It has good bitterness - but it's more like a imperial pils.
