I had this beer at a restaurant in Beaufort, North Carolina. It was a nice IPA with a west coast approach. It had faint hints of grapefruit and grass in both aroma and flavor. There were distinct floral notes as well. Nothing too "in your face" ... a very modest and easy going beer. Very nice.

On tap @ Sunspot. Orange gold color with medium white head and ample lacing. Grapefruit and citrus hops in nose and taste, nicely bitter with a pleasant offset of malts. Good bitter linger. Nice IPA.

Comes out of the tap an appetizing, slightly hazy golden with a decent off-white head. Strong aroma is very hoppy, more evergreen than woody. Richly hoppy flavor has a firm resiny tone and hints of malt and honey. Firm, lively texture leaves a hoppy and only slightly bitter finish. You won’t be jaded after this one.

A dark orange color with a white heead. Aroma contains some pine and orange. Flavor is bitter with some orange, lemon, pine. Aftertaste is bitter. Overall a great IPA.

The bartender explained that this was their west coast style IPA. It had a fairly dry and pale malt body, and was plenty bitter with some juicy and pungent hops. Aroma was good, looked great.....but the mouthfeel and flavor both had detracting qualities that I just couldn't get used to. Not one of my favorites.
