Mixed-culture kvass fermented with bread and 2nd use strawberries from Rhythm Rug Brewed in collaboration with our talented friends at Old World Levain baking of West Asheville, North Carolina. Mashed with local barley and rye from Epiphany Craft Malting of Durham, North Carolina. Fermented with our mixed house “dandy” culture until bone dry. Transferred onto and aged on 2nd use (spent) strawberries that were used in the creation of Rhythm Rug. Conditioned naturally inside the kegs and bottles with brettanomyces yeast.

Pours hazy apricot, minimal head. Aroma offers sweet and slightly tart apple. Flavor yields sweet and tart apple plus fresh malt. Texture features so-so body and fair fizz. Everything old is beer again.
