Both our brewers hail from the rocky island of Newfoundland while our masterful chef and co-owner Luis hails from sunny Portugal. The Flemish Cap lies outside the two hundred mile limit of Canada’s territorial waters and has long been a continuous mixing point for the two fishing cultures. International cooperation aside, you don’t need to be a maritime lawyer to enjoy this beer. Clean and crisp this beer is an exercise in old world simplicity with a little new world complexity. Hops: Magnum, Saaz Yeast: Escarpment Labs’ New World Saison Malts: Pilsner

So I decided to splurge a little and wound up being three brews from Folly, and 3 from Bellwoods, and all 6 of them were pretty eh. Starting with this one, you get a pretty average, yet drinkable Saison. Not much flavour and and had a very weak colour and very little head. Was not impressed.
