As our forays into different takes on lagers and IPAs continue to develop, we decided there was no better style to explore than Cold IPA. Using flaked corn, and malted barley alongside Citra, Mosaic, and Vista hops, we fermented this with lager yeast at a slightly warmer than usual temperature. It’s bitter, and crisp, with lot’s of fruity hops.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8
Fairly clean, light golden-yellow colour with bubbly white head, average retention and some foamy lacing patches. Citrusy-hops aromas with lemony sourness blended with cilantro, lemongrass notes. The mouthfeel is on the thin side, with some dryness in the finish. Had a few of these from the fridge watching a game, and went down nicely. This one rating is not as cold, and I guess it reflects the title and how you should drink it. The lager fermentation keeps this milder.
