The beer pours a coca-cola brown with a thin short-lived ring for a head. The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and coffee. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is coffee forward with background notes of chocolate and roasted malt. -

Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy tan head that eventually dissipates to barely anything left but with some thick bubbly lacing and has a deep dark brown appearance. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas of coffee and dark roasted malts, a little bit nutty and some chocolate hints. Flavours are mostly coffee and chocolate, nutty, dark roasted malts and earthy hops, a little grassy with some hints of vanilla in the finish. Slick and slightly oily mouthfeel.

A very dark brown colour with very little highlights. The head is creamy, frothy, warm light mocha-coloured with good stay and some nice creamy lacing. Big coffee nose at first, but then, the dark fruits and roasted malts come out. The taste shows the burnt malts with hints of molasses, dark fruits and coffee. Not getting much chocolate in here, but still - good stuff as a regular stout.
