Hey dogfoodman- we're in the same beer club! Not for long though, brotha. This was a two month gift. Pours lovely copper colour. Nice carbonation with a small white head. Aroma is fruit filled, but not over the top. Kinda wish it was! Full on hops on the palate, then it quickly dissipates to the predictable pine. Lemme try it again and I might just change my mind.

A beer of the month club entry for oct/nov 2011. Starts out as simple tasty IPA, that builds and builds into a fairly intense offering. Very tasty, well worth the effort to find it and buy it!

Carmel sweetness, a hint of malt and good citrus in the nose, also a bit of alcohol. Clear copper body is topped with medium head that is off white and lasts well enough with a touch of lacing. Medium bodied slick and slightly low carbonation on the tongue. Flavor is interesting, it seems simple but that may well be a complex objective to have achieved. A very evenly balanced brew, it seems composed of strongly toasted malts and a significant (but not hop-headed) amount of hops. Somewhat sweet for an IPA with burnt caramel and grapefruit nicely balanced, at 7% the approaches an imperial IPA and alcohol plays a nice part in the taste, especially as the beer warms. Very drinkable and approachable and packs a bit of a wallop, this is a nicely done and slightly different IPA.

Pours a clear copper with a low head. Decent lacing. Aroma is faint. Mouthfeel is hoppy but round. Flavor is hoppy, malty, and has long lasting feel. Nice on a hot day!
