A little heavier in body than our other ales, with chocolate and nut flavors balanced against centennial hops, this beer is rich, filling, and wonderful. One taste and you're hooked!

Pours a mahogany brown. Aroma is smoked dirt. Flavor is roasted burnt shoe with a sweet backing. This is one step away from being poured down the drain.

This beer poured with a dark brown body topped off by a small light brown head that left decent lace. The aroma is sweet nutty tones with milk chocolate, and some roasty tones. The mouthfeel is medium bodied smooth and very drinkable. The flavor is nuts, chocolate, toffee, sweet malts and light coffee.

Pours an almost black color with a medium tan head. Smells of coffee, nuts, caramel and a bit of smokiness. The flavor was similar to the aroma but it was a bit disappointing. It was drinkable but nothing special.

My favorite beer from the Farmington River line, easily. Pours a very dark chocolate brown with crimson edges. Aroma is very strong and robust, chocolate, espresso, sweet caramel, and light roasted nuttiness. Flavor is wonderfully sweet, starting with chocolate and coffee, turning dryer and roasty with coffee, dark chocolate, with some light citrussy sweet and sticky hops. This certainly was a pleasant surprise out of the mixed 12 pack, best beer in the pack IMO.
