Sampled on 12/16/2011. This saison pours a chartreuse green color from a 750ml corked and caged bottle. Small to no head. The aroma is fruity, apples and green tea. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, grassy and green tea. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. It’s a little on the sweet side, but the herbal qualities kind of balance the sweetness. It does take a little bit to get over the intense green color of this beer, the color changes with the amount of yeast in the bottle. The color seemed to intensify with the amount of yeast in the glass. Interesting beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Multiple bottles shared amongst many at a friendly tasting. Pours a mildly light green color with a fizzy 1/2" head and splotchy lacing. Kiwi, green apple, herbal tea, and very mild fresh tennis shoes......the tennis shoe aspect might seem odd, but it was not distracting and provided a unique twist along with the green body.....besides I like the scent of new tennis shoes. Light and perky with a nice clean finish. Odd brew is an understatement, glad I got to try a glass.
