The brewers of Fanoe Bryghus ( Denmark ) and Brown Paper Bag Project ( Ireland ) joined forces to bring an almost extinct beerstyle back to life : The Gose brewed in its hometown Goslar, Lower Saxony was brewed with coriander and spontaniously fermented. To recreate the brewing-water of the region we used salt ( Irish and Danish sea-salt ), coriander and a sour mash. Ingredients : water, wheat malts, Pilsner malt, Vienna malt, hops, coriander seeds, Irish sea salt, Danish sea salt.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

330 ml capped bottle. Poured in a stemmed glass a soft gushing, cloudy and golden-yellow coloured Gose with a two fingers fine, dense, creamy and almost white foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. Some floating sediments. The aroma is acidic fruits, citrus, lemon, apples, salt and wheat malts. The flavour is salt, acidic fruits, citrus, lemon, apples, spicy, coriander and lemon peels, and sourish-tart. The mouthfeel is crispy, sparkling, salty and acidic. The texture is watery. This medium bodied Gose has a long dry salty and acidic finish. Unusual, this very refreshing Gose, brewed in Denmark, is very interesting and really convincing. I like it.
