A refreshing drink often associated with childhood nostalgia to others a pop-cultural symbol of emancipation. Whatever the association we teamed up with good old Swedes, Henok and Karl of the fashionable Omnipollo to squeeze out a tasty, tempting and deceivingly well balanced IPA with sweet and sour notes of old-fashioned memories. Perhaps you can taste the dishonesty, it’s all over your breath - it’s Lemonade.

Feb 2018: 355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%. Murky yellowish colour, moderate white head. Aroma of lemons and raspberries, hints of spruce. Citric and sour flavour, lemons galore, hints of raspberries, distinct resinous bittering hops in the finish. Not my cup of tea.

Pours hazy apricot with a thick, frothy and persistent snowy head. Aroma features resiny hops and tart citrus, more grapefruit than lemon, with an undernote of bready malt. Flavor is almost shandy-like, resiny hops and fresh bready malt but strong citrus notes, now about half lemon and half grapefruit, pleasantly tart and a little summery. Mouthfeel offers firm body and peppy fizz. Pucker up and enjoy!
