Despite the crudeness it is tricky to make an effective Molotov cocktail. Despite the unruly nature of the rebel it is very tricky to resist accepted conventions. Molotov Cocktail is a tour de force in rebellious hoppiness, it’s a spark for action and by far one of the most anti-authoritative beers ever made by Evil Twin Brewing.

April 2017: 650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 13%. Brownish deep golden colour, thin white head. Strong aroma of fruity hops, orange marmalade and caramel, hints of alcohol. Strong and concentrated flavour, aggressive bittering hops, overwhelming sweetness, again orange marmalade and caramel, loads of alcohol. Not my cup of tea.

Comes out of tap hazy golden with a decent eggshell head. Aroma is strongly hoppy, quite evergreen, with a citrus underpinning of grapefruit and orange. Flavor has firm hoppy and sweet orange tones plus a little bitterness and a streak of grapefruit. Texture is fairly viscous and fizzy. Here’s a cocktail for ya!
