Stacy's Mom is our American IPA dry-hopped exclusively with Citra hops. Soft on the palate with extremely low bitterness, this is a great example of a new-school American IPA. Citra hops provide an explosive aroma of tropical fruits, lemon peel, peach and mango, complimented by a clean and slightly toasty malt base. Think you don't like IPAs? Give Stacy's Mom a try! She has got it going on, and might change your mind. ABV: 7.5% IBU: 85 Malts: 2 Row, Crystal Hops: Citra

mild nose not nearly as explosive as claimed. Musty grass predominates with some citrus and some biscuit. Poor is a light copper body with a solid frothy head and very good lace. Mouth is a little creamy for an IPA medium Bodied. They claim low bitterness but at 85 IBU I think that claim is wrong. There is a lot of grain present in the taste almost leans towards a British Pale Ale. I'm getting some of the tropical fruit but not really any lemon or Peach. Finish is extremely dry. I like this flavor profile a lot just don't happen to think it's what they claim it is. To me it's much more an old fashioned IPA as opposed to a new or New England IPA.

I had this beer at OC Brewing Company in Abingdon, Maryland on tap with Lantz M. and Chris P. This was a beer that had it all goin' on until the taste. For me, a tad sweet - this is probably due to the full Citra hop bill. All in all, a very good beer - smells outstanding!!!!!
