Murky dark orange pour. Adequately bitter, but overly malty and very obviously old. Don't know how much I'd have cared for this one even fresh. Bought at the PDX made in Oregon store. No date.

Pours out in a hazy dark golden colour with a small creamy white foam. Rouges dryish cracker-like yeast in the aroma with notes of strawberries, butter and grapefruit. Medium-bodied with dryish notes of crackers, grapefruit, resin and white bread. Crisp bitter finish of grass, minerals and grapefruit.

22 oz bottle. Pours a golden orange with a white head that quickly diminishes to a thin film. There's tons of yeasties at the bottom of the bottle.

The aroma is bready malts, melon and a little pine. Nice, but it's a bit subdued though.

The flavor is some sweet malts and fruit that is quickly overtaken by a huge harsh, almost tarry, hop bitterness that lingers in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery.

Overall, a huge hop bomb. This is one of the most bitter beers I've had. It's completely unbalanced and a bit too over the top for me. Reminds me of the Hopsickle and Blind Pig that I've had recently - one dimensional hop bombs with harsh and abrasive charred/charcoal/tar hop bitterness.
