This perky little blonde is full of surprises - a refreshing light wheat ale with a pungent burst of blackberry essence followed with a crisp fresh finish. As refresing as a cool summer breeze! Originally made for the Mt. Shasta Blackberry Festival in 2002.

This fruit wheat pours a light gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is wheat and blackberries, slightly sweet. A light to medium bodied fruit wheat beer. Malts are fruity and sweet, grassy and grainy. The blackberry flavors are prevalent, but not overly sweet. There is a smoky flavor to the aftertaste. Hops are slightly bitter and floral. Its weird to have a fruit beer with a smoky finish. The smokiness in only in the finish. Strange beer, the smokiness sort of removes the light and refreshing aspect to this beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is smoky.
