Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
Picked up a 500ml bottle from the brewpub. Pours a huge foamy bubbly brownish head that dissipates somewhat quickly to leave a small coating. Fizzy and excessive carbonation. Has a deep dark amber almost brown appearance. Lacing is so so. Aromas of barley malts, dry fruits, hints of caramel and earthy hops. Flavours are mostly fruity, strong notes of plums and raisins. Some very subtle notes of chocolate and caramel, not at the same time. Somewhat sweet. Full bodied mouthfeel. Pretty good.
