Dark amber with light brown foam head lacing to glass. Smells like charcoal, tastes like smoked grain, nice on alcohol content. Aftertaste is nice long lasting smokey bitter. (Bruinisse 201206)

330 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%, EBC 31.7, EBU 29.2. Stamwortgehalte 16 degrees. Cloudy brown colour, moderate to low off.white head. Strong aroma of smoked meat, with some faint sweetish malty notes in the background. The flavour has strong notes of smoke, with just the right maltiness and decent hops. Bitter finish. I am not a big fan of smoked beers, but this one was quite drinkable.

330 ml capped bottle. Poured an unfiltered hazy ruby-brown or old reddish copper coloured Rauchbier with a two fingers beige creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. Plenty of floating sediments. The aroma is deep smoked malts, smoked ham, smoked meat. The flavour is roasted malts, smoke, may be a touch of caramel, brown sugar, grassy hops and a faint but real touch of chilli. The mouthfeel is creamy, fizzy, sparkling, very smooth and ... sweety. The texture is light oily. This medium bodied Rauchbier has a lingering smokey finish. The smoke is, true to the beer name, overwhelming but no way on the aggressive art but on a sensitive way. A great Rauchbier.

Bought through mailbox, Chicago .. . bottle: a sneaky 10.14oz bottle- tricksters! .. . sweet maple, smoke, and sweet bbq pit .. . dark tan, with light sturdy head .. . wonderful playfulness on the tongue, a little sweet, a little smokey- a fun delicious beer! .. . a bold body for this style, not as silky as some but the smoke presence is great! .. would love to have more than just this one bottle, a great dutch brew!! .. . The butler is head of the kitchen and dining room. I keep everything tidy.

Bottled. Hazy deep amber colour with a mediumsized creamy slight off-white head. Aroma is smokke, mild burnt wet wood, some slight caramel, roast as well as mild grassyness. Flavour is smoked, mild burnt wet wood as well as some slight maltyness as well as some quite strong floral and grassy bitterness.
