Einhorn Weizenbock "Der Kommissar" is a blonde weizenbock brewed with loads of German wheat, pilsner and vienna malts, giving it a very unique flavour profile - one you've probably never tried before. Approximately 8% alcohol together with luxurious banana and clove aromas combined with fruity esters make this a perfect winter brew.

Sampled on 6/18/2011. This Weizenbock pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet with a touch of funk and yeast. A medium bodied weizenbock. The malts are caramel and sweet, a touch bready and fruity. There is also a touch of funk and tartness, which I am not sure is supposed to be there. The hops are herbal and floral. Nicely balanced. Good carbonation. Interesting beer, the tartness kind of balances the malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
