Southern English style Nut Brown Ale with a bit of chocolate character to it. Dark in color, but light in body, and leaning toward the sweet malty side. You'll really have to look for the hops in this one.

Had on CasK @ The Sharp Edge Creekhouse in Pittsburgh,PA .. . pours a muddled brown .. light foam .. . sweet leather + not sweet molasses .. . bark .. . quite tasty but cask doesn't help this beer .. . . that tiger was delicious!

Comes out of the tap a rich warm brown, barely translucent, with a fairly thick pale tan head. Aroma is rich and malty with hints of cinnamon, smoke and caramel. Flavor is mainly malty and has nutty, smoky and spicy tones - one can really taste how the malt is roasted. Texture is smooth and very pleasing.

Oops, somebody at the Bocktown got this tap handle mixed up with Corsendonk, Corsendonk Pater (Abbey Brown Ale)-----Unbelievable bargain! Pleasantly flat. No, seriously, this is like Corsendonk with all the complexities, but much better in price. Definately top of the style.
