I tried this beer from a cask, so I'm not sure if it's 'Forced Draught' or 'Hand Pump'. The beer was a reddish gold colour, kind of hazy, with a small white head. The aroma was a little grassy malt with a huge hint of citrusy hops. The flavour was slightly malty with a huge grapefruity hop taste. A very good beer.

From cask at the Castle: A cloudy dark honey - amber ale with a sticky 2 finger cap. Floral, cedar aroma with sweet malt undertones Nice chew of caramel malts in the front side then a rush of citrus-pine hops,... thin finish. A decent IPA..better than hop head but still a tad thin in the body for my tastes.

This was my first County Durham beer which cost me nothing as it wss customer appreciation night at The Bow And Arrow, and therefore every thing was free(YAY!). This beer has no business being listed as an IPA as it's clearly an ESB/ English-style bitter. No discernable aroma. The appearance is very nice red, similar to Hercules. The body is very thin and watery as is the taste.
