Isle of MaGourdo is a naturally conditioned pumpkin ale brewed specially for the fall season. Years ago our Brewmaster Mike went tuna fishing in the Florida Keys with Bo, Bryan and a great man named Martin. This beer is brewed each year the same time as that trip. For Martin – we miss you buddy. Food Pairings: Turkey and the Fixings Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkins are hit or miss for me. Naturally, since this style is just coming out late Aug/early Sept. and I was at the brewery picking up other stuff, I had to try this one as my first for the year! This is lightly spiced, hardly any clove which I prefer. It let's you taste the natural pumpkin more. Texture is semi-creamy...perfect for the style. A light to medium brown appearance. I had to try a small sample first before deciding if I'd pick up a 4-pack as the season gets closer. This passed the test.

Stopped at Due South for their newest Pumpkin ale. Great amber color, brightly dark. Big frothy off white head rising impressively above. There's great retention. Settles into a thick soapy ringlet. Turns out the appearance is the highlight of this beer. The profile is not bold enough for my sensibilities. Light pumpkin spices in the nose. Light pumpkin and little spice in the tasting. Light bodied.
