Serum is our version of a Double(Imperial) India Pale Ale. It is agressively hopped at several stages of the brewing process including a dry hopping that takes place little by little over a 2 week period. With an OG close to 19Plato, this beer is big and hoppy, yet has a strong malt backbone that keeps the huge hop bitterness from being overbearing. Available in VERY limited quantities and only at our pub locations.

Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thick but effervescent buff head. Hoppy aroma has a strong and rather sweet fruity overtone. Bold flavor is resiny hoppy, rather fruity - as much pomme as citrus - and hardly bitter or woody. Viscous texture is fairly fizzy, leaving a nice hoppy and somewhat fruity finish. A serum that you can take orally - how nice!

Cool. Pours dark golden with a foamy head. Lots of pine and hops in the aroma, but stinky too. Mouthfeel is a smidge lighter than expected, a little watery. Flavor is OK - kind of a weird sweet meld. Meh.

This 2xIPA was not very good. To me, it tasted like a Pliny the Elder wannabe gone terribly wrong. You could tell DuClaw was trying to meld the hops with the creaminess perfected by Russian River, however, this was an EPIC fail. I won't be having this again. For that matter, I will likely be passing on DuClaw in the future - the beers are just not that good.

Poured a dark golden color with a large white head and nice lacing. Usual IIPA Citrus hop aroma, and a SWEEET (this is a good sweet) bitter pine, resin, hop, taste.
