6.75% on bottle, not 7. Oh man...what a friggin delicious and aromatic hop showcase this is. Candied orange peel and grapefruit sweet. Piney. Floral. Shows a little alcohol at first but not as it warms. Really nice bittersweet finish. One of the better single iPas out there, and unfortunately priced like it.

I always have a place in my 'frig for Drake's. Any time, any day. So when I come across a new IPA from theirs called Aroma Coma, it's a no-brainer. Get some. So get some I did and chose a day when I made a new mead to dive in.
The aroma on this is really the star. Just a stunning aroma of fresh hops, like opening a hop bag and inhaling deeply. Floral, citrus, perfume...just really intense and a great showcase of hops. The palate is also quite tasty, and well balanced. Fruity/citrusy hops have a smooth relationship with the malts and it really works and creates a really tasty IPA. -

Tasted on tap at the Bistro 12th Annual IPA Festival on 8/8/09. This IPA poured an orange gold color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is orange and citrus and a touch floral. A medium sized IP. Malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of orange and citrus. Hops are citrusy and floral. Lots of bitterness. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth, Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
