Named after one of my favorite ratebeerians… OK, maybe not. OK, maybe. Pours deep dark brown with tan head. The aroma is musty prunes, raisins, plums, a bit of caramel and burnt molasses. The taste is similar with a mix of caramel, prunes, ripe red apples and sweet slick malts. Very nice.

Had this many times and I don't know why. Its an average stout with a metallic aroma and flavour. You might think the bottle you have is a little off. It's not, they all taste the same. Watery mouthfeel for 7.5% abv and way too much carbonation for a stout.

Pours black with thick, brown head (though it is rarely offered with a glass in Jamaica). Smells of coffee and caramel. The flavor is intensely roasty and dry. I have enjoyed it many time without any chilling and it still somehow refreshes. Full bodied and creamy. More than just an amazing alternative to Red Stripe, it is also just a solid stout overall.

Purchased at a off-license at a train station in Hastings UK. Wasn't expecting anything great, and it met my expectations. Smells like sweet mollasses and corn, coffee with mildew. Maybe this bottle is bad? Slightly chocolate flavour and light bodied. Could be good but I am not in the mood or I don't get it.

Wow! This is a superb stout. It pours like I like my women....thick and dark with a lot of head. My expectations were low since this is a Jamaican beer. Nothing against Red Stripe, but come on, it's not that great. Now as I said before... Wow! Mouthfeel is thick and creamy (see aforementioned description of how I like my women... but I digress) . Taste is complex.... bananas, cream and caramel dominate. The finish is clean. This is a great beer!

Courtesy of bluesandbarbq - pours deep black albeit slightly thin, but in the heat we're having that was a bit welcome. Roasted malt aroma with a hint of sweet moleasses; the sweetness really tempers the alcohol in the flavor.

Nice find at my local liquor store. Mahogany black-brown pour with a medium tight tan head and droopy lacing. Aromas of lightly roasted malts, molasses, cocoa, slight hops. Taste is very creamy with a slight alcohol sting with the roasted malts, molasses, brown sugar, semi-sweet chocolate and very slight hops bitter on the backside. Smooth yet big. Creamy and still a little bitter. Very nice new Dragon artwork on newer red label.

Pours a dark brown with a medium tan colored head, minimal lacing. Smells nutty with some coffee and sweet malty hints. Tastes sweet and malty with hints of dark fruit and alcohol. The alcohol really warms as you swallow it. Thin to medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

Aroma is fairly strong, smoky, oily and coffee-ish. Pours a dark chocolaty sable with a fairly thick but not too persistent beige head. Flavor is malty, smoky, and surprisingly sweet - but not cloying. There are hints of molasses and apple cider. Texture is quite smooth with just a little bit of a bite, and minimal fizziness. Not too shabby.

Pours a thick dark brownish black colour with a decent sized tan head. Aroma is chocolatey, nutty, coffee and hints of alcohol. Taste is creamy pleasent and perfect on this 100% humid day in Belize :)
