This big, glowing, powerful IPA is packed with assertive Northwest hops that are floral, citrusy and resinous. A healthy dose of Munich malt helps to provide backbone and balance against the hoppy attack. The result? Explosive! Brewed with Gambrinus Organic Pilsner and Munich Malt, Centennial and Cascade hops.

Comes out of the tap a clear sumptuous amber with a decent cream-white head. Crisp, fruity, hoppy aroma invites a taste. Richly hoppy flavor has an undertone of apple and pear and a fair amount of bitterness. Texture is smooth and subtly tingly.

Half-litre bottle from Central City. Poured an active, two-fingered head of ivory foam over a cloudy, dark gold body. Aroma a nice blend of grapefruit and pine. Flavour of grapefruit, pine, and hop. Nice bitterness, with caramel sweet notes to finish. Robust mouthfeel. A nice effort.

Having this right now on draught at the Green Dragon in Portland. In my glass is a semi hazey amber colour. Head is small but leaves behind an intriquite web of lacing. Beer is a bit cold, so having trouble picking up on aroma. Caramel malt. Underlying caramel sweetness, fresh hops, big bold bitterness.
