Golden coloured lager with a head as white as snow. This beer has complex malt and hop flower aromas. It is full-bodied and the aftertaste is smooth and malty with a touch of sulphur. The noble hops used in this beer bring about a sharp but delicate bitterness. This beer won the prize for highest distinction in the 2004 Popular Beer Contest for the category "Lager" during the Mondial de la Bière in Montréal. The Celestial elixir was born in our Montreal brewpub in November 2000.

While I disagree that Dieu Du Ciel can do no wrong, they are, admittedly, usually right. From my notes: Fruity aroma. Good head, lager lacing. Orange/tangerine aroma, golden hue. No lager-esque initial taste. Finish is strong, and surprisingly bitter. Solid, smooth lager. Good thin-ish mouthfeel, but an unwelcome finish.

Poured a slightly hazy medium golden colour with a thin layer of head. Mildly carbonated. Aromas of hops, grains and wheats, a bit of malts. Flavours of lighter malts, citrus hops, and a touch of caramel. Good mouthfeel, smooth on the palate, with that citrus tang. Pretty darn good. Seems like Dieu du Ciel can do no wrong.

For a Tutonic malt lover my trip to Montreal has proven a good one...2 great marzens and now this wonderful Bohemian. This taps with a glorious hazed orange-yellow with a substantial white cap that laces well. A Saaz blast awaits the nose but there is more nutty-sweet malt present in this aroma. wonderful well rounded mouth feel..medium-light bodied...almost perfect balance between nutty/bready malts and grassy citrus hops....finish is clean and crisp with some bittering and a biscuit dough after taste....a well made bohemian lager.
