Brewed only once a year to keep you warm during the cold winter months, Blanche Neige (French for "Snow white") isn’t your typical wit beer. Firstly, the level of alochol is surprising and is perceived rapidly both in the bouquet and in the mouth. Cinnamon and clove dominate and come through immediately, giving very little room for the usual wit beer aromatics (coriander and curaçao). The flavours are generously well-rounded thanks no doubt to residual sugars. Blanche Neige is brewed only once a year, and is sold in February until stocks last. The Blanche Neige was born in our Montreal brewpub in January 2001

Single from the local IGA store. Pours a hazy golden colour with a frothy white head, good retention and sticky-dirty lace. Smells like a beautiful witbier with the fresh coriander and wheat notes. The taste is spicy as well with some light orangy malts and mild grassy hops. A nice brew, but do not taste as much the advertised cloves and cinnamon.

Pours a small layer of white foamy head and has a yellow coppery appearance. Pretty good lacing. Aromas are very yeasty, malty has notes of bananas and floral scents. Mouthfeel is somewhat sweet. Medium carbonation. Flavours are also quite yeasty with floral hops and grainy malts. sort of wheaty with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Some mild spices as well. Pretty sweet tasting. Good for as a taster but not a continuous chugger.

Clear gold……some haze I guess complete with a very thick skiff. Wacky laundry soup aroma, with massive clove, hippie incense and other spicy things. Man I do not dig this aroma, nothing bad but nothing yum yum. Smooth thick feeling brew. Huge soapy perfume flavor with a hint of malty banana. Wheat? Sure why not. Tons of the clove with only mild hints of the cinnamon . Thank for buying this one Jeff I don’t think there’s any way I could have drank the whole bottle.
