Copper/amber in color. Clean lager character with some fruity ale notes. Earthy with flavors of tea and forest nuts. Distinct balance between malt and hops allows the creamy texture to really come through. We earned a medal at the Great American Beer festival in our first year of business with this one and it remains our house specialty to this day.

The more I sampled this, the more I like it. At first I wanted to dislike it because of the price....if that makes sense? $1.99 for a 6-pack on clearance @ ABC liquor! I expected something barely drinkable, but this is half-way decent. Sort of reminds me of an Oktoberfest in style. Medium brown wheat ale. Aroma is a little sour, but these bottles are probably past their date. Not a beer I would normally recommend, but for this price it seems like was a steal.

Clear dark copper por, foamy off white head and strings of lacing. Light to medium bodied, good bitterness with little hop flavor. Burnt toast, nuts and caramel make for a hearty malt body. Nice offering, and a great name.

Aroma is rich, yeasty and spicy, rather inviting. It pours out a nice dark coppery red-brown, almost mahogany, with a fairly thick, fluffy, off-white head. Flavor has a surprising hoppy bitter bite, along with woody and malty undertones. Texture is smooth, just a tad watery, leaving a minimal tingle. Not great, but worthy of a try.
