Somewhat hazy dark yellow with white foam head lacing to glass. Aroma is sweet bitter hop, taste is pure bitterness. Had this at the brewery while eating lunch which made it special.(Bodegraven 201206)

330 ml bottle bought at the brewery, Brewed on 06/05/201, Bottled on 07/14/2010. Poured in the original De Molen chalice a cloudy old red copper or mid-brown coloured IPA with a one finger beige creamy foamy head that had a long retention and tons of bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. A lot of floating sediments. The aroma is strong aromatic and resinous hops, tropical and exotic fruits, lychee and flowery, violet. The flavour is a powerful bunch of hops, on a second stage, some spices, pepper, light caramel malts and aciditic fruits, citrus, peaches, grapefruits. The mouthfeel is overwhelmed by the smoothy hoppy bitterness. This medium bodied IPA has a lingering aromatic hoppy bitter finish. I simply like this huge hopped IPA. In spite of its high bitterness, it's amazing smooth.
