Zinnebir is a golden, perfectly balanced Pale Ale. It develops fruity and hoppy flavours that recall dry apricots and orange marmalade. The ensemble leans on a malty note, as well as a nice bitterness. Born in the basements of a Brussels squat in 2002, it is the founding beer of Brasserie de la Senne. Beer was originally 6.0%

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aromas of dry hops are dominating with a bready yeast presence. Taste is also a very nice mix between some dry Noble hops with a nice Belgian malt profile and somewhat bready yeast. Full body with good carbonation and no alcohol. Very well done and easily drinkable.

Cask at the GBBF 2008. Cloudy golden colour, low head. Lovely aroma of yeast, fruits, spices and honey. The flavour is yeasty and spicy / peppery, fairly dry, slightly medicinal in the finish.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, not much head. Aroma is spices, wheat, yeast and some hops. Flavour is a bit grassy and hoppy along with some mild spices and herbs.

Poured a hazy golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus fruits, some vanilla, and yeast as well. Taste was earthy, citrus fruits, light honey, and bitter hops in the finish. Medium carbonation.

Pours a slightly cloudy orange with an aggressive off white head. Carbonation is high, lots of streaming bubbles to the top, which sustain the head and leave excellent lacing. Aroma is very spicy, grassy hops, pepper, clove, some underlying biscuit and honey sweetness. Flavor starts with some biscuit and honey, then dries out and becomes very spicy, with a mix of clove, white pepper, and a fair dosage of grassy and floral hops. Finishes very dry, and refreshing.
