Aroma: 5 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 5 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6

Pours with a gold body and some sudsy white cap. I didn't see it stick around for very long, so the retention loses some points. The aroma is good, sweet with slight yeast and honey. Thin and weak mouthfeel. Flavours don't really resemble a Tripel - there is some spice, but otherwise it's a bit more sweet and alot less present with the alcohol. Doesn't quite fit the bill, but if you can get past calling it a tripel, it is quite easy drinking. I'd have it again if I felt the need for sweet.

C: hazed orange gold, rocky off-white head
    A: spices, yeast, grains
    P: medium
F: sweet grainy notes, spices and yeast
O: Not one of the better tripels out there but worth trying

Orange, off-white lacing foam head. Little sweet aroma, some barley. Similar bittersweet taste, small notes of hay. Good drink with bore stew. (Amsterdam 201412)

Bottled@SBWF2007. Deep golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is alcohol, sweet malts, spices and quite much grass. Flavour is the same, spices, sweet malts, alcohol and some hints of grass.

Nice light opaque firey orange beer with a thin off-white creamy cap that had good retention considering the lack of it and lasting effervesence. Lots of aroma in this one with its nice hops and yeasty balanced appealing mild spice. Tasted pretty good with nice mildly spicy hops, a slighty bready taste and some sweet candy in the background. Despite having a tad oily feel (similar to that horrible vomitous dish detergentlike Sunny-D crap) it still comes across quite well. Weak sourness appears under my tongue and its kinda chewy. Very Drinkable. Not sure how many Tripel qualities this has - some - but I enjoyed it none the less.

Bottle put a a murkey orange ale in my stemmed trappist chalice. A small rocky cap reduces quickly to a surface and glass clinging lace. As this ale warms in the glass some excellect aromas are radiated: musty burlap and sweet cake batter, light citrus peel some cracked vanilla pod. Body is lighetr than you would expect, oily mouthfeel. Sweet caramel up frontm some fruit esters a bit of mustiness from yeast then a surprising drying finish punctuated with a light sweet licorice taste and alcohol warming....this is the first appearance of the alcohol...for a tripple ( and I believe this to be a unique Antwerp ale-drink rather than a trappist ale) this is really drinkable...smooth for a triple and the alcohol is well hidden.

Bought at the LCBO, part of a 4 bottle pack with one De Koninck glass. This tripel pours an amber colour with a small head, but good lace. Cinnamon is found in the aroma, with some caramel, fruit and notes of honey. The mouthfeel is lacking, thin-bodied. Even the taste is under-par for this type of beer. Some spices, but very, very smooth. Too bad, good start for this one... but lacks in the flavour department.

Bottle: Poured a deep orangey/amber color ale with a large white bubbly head with minimal retention. Aroma of cinnamon, sweet malt and typical Belgian yeast. Taste is also dominated by the spice mix, which probably includes cinnamon with some sweet malt. Body is defiantly too thin for the style, carbonation is too low but alcohol is well hidden.

Far in many regards from what I know as a tripel - really nothing at all what you would expect. Its a nice thought, but Im finding this almost hard to drink. Dark, ruby orange colour. Nose consisting mostly of alcohol and dried fruit. This isnt far off from a bad white wine almost. Flat body, weak flavours, another flop from this brewery.
