Wrapped bottle, striped black paper. An 9% ABV beer in which the fermented sugars were all obtained from malt (20 degrees Plato). A generous dose of hops and a long maturation time makes this beer best of the best. This beer is bottle conditioned and will go through taste evolution during many years. Matured for a quarter of a year on a selection of whisky casks.

Darling Brown with decent lasting Brown foam head. Lacing to glass. Aroma is malty caramel, little toffee, some whiskey. Taste is super, a nice dark beer with tones of caramel, toffee, coffee, whiskey. Nice lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201308)

Bottled. Hazy ambery brown colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is wooden, vanilla, chocolate and quite belgian hops. Also some interesting sourish notes. Flavour is quite similar. Kind of sourish stuff meeting sweet and alcoholic with some quite roasted notes.
