"We crafted our fond farewell to summer as a collaboration with John Solomon and Chris Frashier. The pair are well known for their fine (and tasty!) work at Old Dominion in Ashburn, VA, during the mid 90's. EL HEFE SPEAKS! is a traditionally brewed German-style Hefe. It is fermented around 65° F and hopped with German Tettnang hops. 11 IBUs and 5.3% ABV make this one extremely drinkable. Perfect for the start of September."

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Rich hazy gold, almost brassy, thin white cap. Whiff of banana when opened, but the aroma is really floral with hints of clove, lemon, and sweet grass. Mildly spicy and wheaty sweet flavor, hints of refreshing citrus, booze, and bubblegum... it's kinda working. Flavors blend as it warms. Mildly tingly, heavier than it seems at first, some lacing, was very good with buffalo wings.
