Poured from 12oz. bottle. Clear golden yellow color, puffy white head. Aroma of stale corn flakes. Taste is straw, white pepper, light citrus. Light body.

Poured a clear golden color with a huge white head that exhibits good retention. Looks quite nice. The aroma is like some sweet pale malt with some herbal noble hop aromas. The taste in the initial wave is of honey-like sweetness, some clean grain, and a nice herbal hop flavor that finishes dry with some lingering herbal sweetness. The mouthfeel is light to medium body with good carbonation. Sampled this beer at the World of Beers.

Did not like this. 50% off clearance so figure for 75 cents I'd give it a go. Could have been a bad bottle, but I think it's mainly the beer isn't that great. Much better pilsners out there. I even drank a Pilsner Urquel first to get a good comparison. The Pilsner Urq was not as good as I remembered, but this was a lot worse. Something about the balance is just off....too sweet...not enough hops. Not really going to worry about it though. Tried it and moving on.

A bright crystalline clear yellow beer. A moderate foamy textured white head rises above. Lots of film is left behind after the short lived hang time. Nice ringlet joins in. Sour, bready and honey sweet in aroma. Light, nearly weak body. Taste is metallically bitter. Sweet, malty. If nothing else, I tried it.

Poured out a clear, light gold brew with ample white foam that does collapse into nothingness. Decent hoppy aroma with sweet malts and notable skunk. The taste is bland up front and remains that way. Light sweet malts, dull hops, touch of pear, not much else aside from some metallic notes. Finishes ok with a bit of a coating and a short malt lingering. Average at best.

Mid yellow body, not much in the way of carbonation or head, some lace left behind. Crisp mouthfeel, some hop bite with hints of grass and sweet bready malts. Refreshing with a decent aftertaste, although i am not a big pilsner fan it grew on me as i finished it.

A solid pour produces a three-finger thick, pale tan colored head in my 25cl tulip glass. The beer is an amber tinged gold color that shows an almost brilliantly clear, bright gold color when held up to the light. The aroma is spicy with hop notes reminiscent of a mix of hay, lemon zest and a clean, almost earthy spiciness. Behind this are some malt notes of grassy grain, a touch of sweet pale malt and a nice saltine-cracker like toasty grain note.
The beer has a crisp, clean bitterness to it that just about cuts through the fullness of the malt. This has a certain heft to it, more than you typical, crisp German Pils, but perhaps not quite as much as a Budvar. The malt contributes a sweet grain flavor (just a touch of grassy honey), and a touch of cracker flavors as well as some light, grassy grain flavors. This has a fullness of malt character, but it is clearly a secondary note to the hops. This has a nice, pronounced hop spiciness to it as well as a touch of lemon zest, a light taste of dried hay and a herbal backdrop that yields ultimately to the clean bitterness.
This is quite a nice beer; so quaffable and it has an interesting clean malt character coupled with an outstanding Czech hop character. I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this beer, but it has proven to be a lot better than anticipated. I would be happy to quaff a few of these on a hot day.

Bottled (as Czech Rebel Beer, 4.4%). Golden colour, mediumsized white creamy head. Lacing. Aroma is bigtime hayish hops along with some sweeter malts. Flavour is metallic, hoppy and sweet malty. Quite typical Czech pale product.

I'm not really a pilsner guy, but this is good stuff. Very crisp and rfefreshing, with that bite that you'd expect from a pilsner. I think this is a great summer beer. Give it a shot.

Mine was 4.4%, There is one pub that imports this beer into tassie and i picked one up, and its good. Really bitter, flat out fizzy, almost a woody aftertaste, real nice and unbelievably cheap for an imported beer.
