Not the best representation of the Belgian ales I've had. The fruitiness was too overbearing leaving a medicinal-bitterness aftertaste that I do not want in a quaff

Sits in my glass with a brilliantly clear, amber-hued, full gold color. It is topped by a frothy, structured, initially two-finger thick, light tan colored head that is held up by a persistent, ample carbonation. Aromas of concentrated, sweet, pale malts, honey with richly concentrated wild flower aromatics, crushed soda crackers and grassy grain. It is surprising how malt focused the aroma is, it is almost over the top despite derivation from pale malt.

A bit drier than I was expecting, based on the aroma, but it does have a nice, soft pale grain sweetness to it. It is well carbonated, but still has a soft creamy mouthfeel to it. Lightly astringent, wildflower / weed like flavors, combine with honey malt notes and a sharp herbal hop flavor and bitterness in the finish. Somehow the malt character seems quite dusty at times, perhaps a touch oxidized. A touch of orange zest, hints of white pepper and some clove notes provide some spice character to the brew.

This tastes a bit strange at times, it is perhaps a bit too rich and thick, especially for its strength. And the malt tastes a bit tired and flabby at times.

Beer poured with decent head. Aroma was spicey and sweet, smelled like white grape juice. The flavor had a trippelesque backbone, but with a lot of lemony, citrusy like flavors, with also some medicinal undertones. Some other fruitiness (white grapes) were also present. I don't know what else to say except is just wasn't good. It was much more palatable as it warmed, but barely drinkable.

Very nice looking ale, slightly murky yet bright golden with a good sized creamy, thick head, great lace down the glass. Quite a good aroma, soft and lemony in aspect but with medicinal and flowery undertones. quite a nice flavour too slight maltiness to start then taken over by a great herbal spicy bitterness that lasts till near the back of the tongue then it mellows out comfortably for a smooth almost mellow finish..with lingering spice in the throat. Very good mouthfeel very "eventful". I found this an excellent ale and for a half descent price. Great summer beer.
