Crazy 8's. Super solid beer from Smoky Mountain that I was fortunate enough to try, thanks to Louis. A perfect ending to a perfect day. Pitch black, small tan head. Aroma is beautiful. Roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate. Taste is unbelievable. Creamy, Filling, totally delectable. Maybe one of the best stouts I've ever had!

Luscious stout that left a lasting impression on me. Final pint of our Knoxville tour and big props to Blue Lou for letting us all in on this hidden gem. Near perfect pour with a very large light tan head resting on top of an opaque body. Dry and roasty with a fantastic mouthfeel, very smooth and easy going. Lightly roasted malts with some toast and chocolate influences. Mild, calm and impressive in every respect.

On tap/nitro @ The Crown & Goose. Beautiful mahogany black pour with a rising head that reduces to a short cap but full sustained throughout leaving heavy lacing. Rich dark chocolate aroma with slight black coffee and molasses, roasted malts, earthy hops. Taste is rich and creamy with the dark chocolate predominant along with the toasted malts giving this stout a slight java quality - super nice and unexpectedly good beer. Very well done Mr. Marty Velas, very well done.
