The East Coast Lager is an easy drinking “golden” lager with a wonderful balance of crisp malt flavors and flowery hop finish. Built specifically with very low bitter aftertaste, the aroma is as clean as the taste. A difficult beer to brew because of the gentleness… this beer is magnificent!

pours a clear straw body with a creamy white head with strong retention and lacing. The aroma is very sulfury, yeasty with tons of minerality and light herbal qualities. The taste has a bit of breadiness with some moderate hops bitterness on the finish. Flinty minerality provides the balance of the flavor. The mouthfeel is light, moderately carbonated, reasonably creamy body.

Tasted at Noogfest 4.0 (2008). This pale lager pours a light gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grass and grain, touch of corn. A medium to light bodied lager. The malts are grass and grain, with a hint of corn. The hops are mild and slightly spicy. Lively carbonation. A crisp and clean tasting pale lager. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

KSBF07. Poured a light golden color small head. Aroma was all grainy malts. Flavor was much the some with some sticky caramel in there. Some off flavoring which i couldn't figure out. Bad brew.

KSBF07. Color was godlen, small head, diminished quickly. Aroma was primarily grainy malts, light breadiness. The flavor was grainy malts, bready, sweet caramel, a touch of corn-adjunct type stickiness/sweetness in the finish. Not so good, not as bad as BMC.

02.12.05 12oz bottle. This lonely bottle was on the sparse singles rack, so I took the chance. About as expected: pale yellowish gold pour with sudsy white head that fades. Pleasant aromas of french bread, light lemongrass, some wet paper. Flavors are very mild with only a slight grassy character and some corn. Finishes without event. Not a beer I’d seek out, but would do for washing down a burger.

Bright gold body. The aroma is cooked carrots and some fresh apples. There is a hint of celery salt. The taste has fresh green beans and some spicy black pepper in the finish. There is also a bite of grass. A nice rendition of the style.
