330 ml bottle, from Edeka Sophienhof, Kiel. ABV is 9.2%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Pleasant aroma of chocolate, roast malts and coffee. Roasty flavour, moderately sweet, notes of strong coffee, chocolate and cocoa.

Pours a dark brown colour with tiny copper highlights. Big creamy mocha-coloured head, good retention and some foamy lace. Roasted malt aromas with liquorice notes, dark fruits (dates), cocoa, coffee, alcohol and some hops. The taste seems pretty smooth overall with liquorice, roasted malts, smoked wood and chocolate malts. Some nice dryness and bitterness in the finish. Pretty good all-around, but nothing out of this world.

The beer poured a coca-cola brown colour with a very thin bubbly brown head which did not last. The aroma was roasted malt, some licorice, and soy sauce notes. The mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, and good carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and dark fruits. It tastes better than it smells.
