Enfin une brune accessible pour tous ... à la confiture de framboise ! et pourtant pas trop sucrée pour autant ... encore toute une histoire !

750 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery, batch L 2211. Poured an unfiltered and hazy oak-burgundy coloured Brown Ale with a generous two fingers foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is light roasted malts and intensely fruity, raspberries, aciditic notes, citrus. The flavour is like a toasted slice of bread spreaded with pure rasberries juice and ending with an emerging powerful acidity, citrus, red berries, dark chocolate, notes of smoke and spices, licorice, pepper. The mouthfeel is light sparkling and, altough a bit watery, very smooth. This medium bodied Brown Ale has a long malty and fruity finish. A noticeable effort but this Ale needs, for me, more stuff. François, if you can improve your recipe,it could become a splendid Brown Ale !
