Neat ale from Craggie: golden amber pour with a fading white head that leaves some chunks of lacing. Spicy aroma, pine needles, molasses and malts, very slight ginger. Taste is also pine, light ginger, a good dose of molasses. Interesting beer; had to try it a couple of times to get all of those flavor profiles. I like recreation beers and this one pays homage to our pioneering forefathers. Worth trying.

This poured an amber color with little head. The aroma was pine, ginger, and tons of spices. The flavor was more spice than malt lending itself to a candy cane. Overall not too sweet, but too spicy. Interesting in small amounts.
