Pours like Coke with a very loud and active, yet short-lived, foam. Minimal lacing. Smell is dank, with hints of dark, dried fruit and sweet chocolate malt. Tastes as sweet as a good brown should. Touch is a tad thin--the lack of carbonation is right for the style, but not to my liking. Tangy finish. Underwhelming.

Nice aroma; nutty-flavored with a bit more body than say a Newcastle. A brown appearance with a medium sized head. A nice mellow session ale from the South.

This brown ale pours with a deep brown body topped by a medium thick, off-white head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma and flavor are slightly sweet and malty yet bitter and hoppy with a very slight roasty note, a fine touch of licorice and a little caramel. meidum bodied and smooth.
