The first thing I noticed was the fruity wine like aroma with hints of malt and alcohol on the palette. It had an auburn copper colored body with an off-white/beige head that did not last very long. A medium bodied beer with a spicy warm like feeling in the mouth that was hoppy and dry. A little thin feel as I swallowed the beer that was spicy and very little hoppy, flowery flavor. All in all it is a very good beer to drink slowly and enjoy.

Poured a coppery color, small head and little lacing (I liked the color, though). Mouthfeel of a dry white whine...made my lips pucker a bit. Odd. Caramel-like flavor, with some mild spicey fruit, a touch of alcohol and a decent hop bite finish. Not bad.

08.05.04. Bottle, a surprise gift from a customer. Reddish amber color with a trace of a head that lingers. Aromas of blueberry, raspberry, sweet malt. Flavor is carried by a thin but coating palate that finishes sharply, dry, and hoppy - Grapeskins. More sweeeet berry and plum flavors and tartness. Some nice alcohol in flavor, but not in aroma, adds depth to taste. An interesting brew. Quite nice, really, and a great surprise. Not what I had expected when given this treat.

Cloudy amber color with big frothy off white head. Malt and dried fruit aroma. First taste was a bit bitter with a bit of malt and figs. The 7.7% is nicely masked. The body is full and rich. The finish is smooth and clean.

I really liked the rich, dark coloring of the beer as it poured into the glass. The flavor was nice, a bit harsh at first, but not bad overall.

Nice cordivan color. It was a different shade then I had seen before. Slightly sweet taste that surprised me. Guess I was expecting more of a Pale Ale taste. Once I got over that I enjoyed. This is definitly a good find. I am going to wait till cooler weather and try it again.

I really enjoyed this beer, one of my favorites from this brewery. Pours a dark mahogany color with about a finger of head. Aroma is sweet caramel, and a touch fruity. Flavor is sweet caramel, lotsa malt, and the finish if a bit fruity, and lightly spicy from hops. Mouthfeel is a bit slick, but not too bad. This is pretty darn nice.

Deep brownish red body topped by a medium thick quickly disappearing head that leaves good lace behind. Sweet vanilla malt aroma with a touch of hops and alcohol. Slightly sweet malt flavor with bitter background and a strong bitter finish. Medium to full bodied and relatively dry.

Nice ruby brown color, beige head, generous lace, medium body. The yeast is quite evident in the nose, but the malts dominate. Still the finish has a nice bite of hops which adds greatly to the pleasure of this beer. A good beer I think, and a very quaffable brew for all concerned, and a cool label for us baseball fans
