This is a true taste of Coopers history. With its famous cloudy sediment and distinctive balance of malt, hops and fruity characters, our 'Red Label' is the ale by which all others should be measured.

This was my first foray into bottle fermented ale and I hope they will all be as good as this one. The best way to describe this beer is simply excellent. It is strong and very flavorful but not overpowering. Some exciting hop bitterness and an absolute pleasure to drink.

Clear dark yellow, with some yeast floating. White foam head. Regular barley beer taste and aroma, just a decent beer but nothing outstanding here. (Velp 201504)

Poured a hazy light amber colour with almost no head with sediment clearly visible, giving it a thick rusty appearance. Orange flavours, weak on the hop side. Nice cream mouthfeel, yeasty and notes of berries. Fairly well carbonated. Pretty good.

a little spicy and earthy in the aroma. not a lot of follow through on the taste. nothing offensive at all, but a simple session beer at best. probably won't try this one again, either. just the stout and vintage from Coopers have been "good".

Wow! This is horrible. Could be because the bottle that I got is from 2009. Pours with chunks of yeast and various other floating material in an otherwise clear (I think) ale. Smells of sour ale and metal. Tastes like it smells. I really enjoyed the chunks! Are you serious? Maybe I would like this more if I got a newer bottle, but I doubt it.

Different. Tried during dinner recently and didn't feel that it complemented my meal. It poured a very clear gold colour with a white head. A mixyure of hops, spice, and grass made up the aroma. The taste was a little on the spicy side with some malt mixed in. Not really worth trying again.

The beer poured a hazy dark gold, with plenty of effervescence and generous bubbly head. The aroma is grainy malt, and some floral hops. The mouthfeelk is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is grassy malt, sour perfume, with a weak bitter finish.

375 ml bottle. Poured a high cloudy medium amber colored ale with a one finger slight beige foamy head that had a good retention. Excellent carbonation. Poor lacing. The flavour is sourish overripes fruits, apricots, peaches, barnyard, yeast. The aroma is floral hops, yeast, grainy malts, hints of raspberry. The mouthfeel is slight crispy. A lot of sediments give a grainy palate. This medium to full bodied ale has a long yeasty and dry bitter finish. A very refreshing ale.

Bottle: Poured a bright clear golden color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry cereal with light lingering sweetness. Taste is also dominated by some unrefined malt notes and light sweetness with a dry finish with no discernible hops. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing to write home about at the end of the day with a sub-standard malt bill.

Poured almost a straight up brown, but with hints of copper. Head was thick and lasted quite a while. Flavor was good, full without a watery/empty taste.

Pours a murky brown/yellow color with a medium off white head. The beer has a thick appearance due to the huge amount of sediment floating about in the glass. The smell has some citrus and hops. The taste is slightly citrus with fruity and bready hints. Medium mouthfeel with medium carbonation.
