Pours a real dark brown with hardly any copper highlights. The head is warm, mocha-coloured with very good retention, leaving some nice lacing. The aromas are kind of off, as hops are the most dominant. Grassy, minty over the roasted malt base. These hops do carry on into the taste, and really cover the vanilla, oatmeal smoothness. Yeah, no mention of being overhopped in the description, but it is. Not bad, but was expecting more richness from the title. Alright with this, but should mention somewhere the hops are stronger in this style.

The beer pours a solid black colour with a frothy brown head that lasts a while. Lacing is thick. The aroms is roasted malt, coffee, and light vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied (a bit thin for a stout) with average carbonation. The roasted malt notes dominate the flavour with notes of oats and vanilla in the mix. The downside to this beer is that the bitterness lasts long after the glass has been emptied.
