There’s nothing wrong with a little dessert! Our latest small-batch sour is called Cherry Pie – take one sip and you’ll see exactly why. We used a blend of sweet and sour cherries with a touch of almond and vanilla for a tart, refreshing sour that’s balanced by a hint of sweetness. It really is like biting into a slice of cherry pie with a graham cracker crust!

The beer pours a hazed cherry red colour with a generous tan coloured cap which last several minutes. The aroma is grainy malts, bready dough, light sweet cherry, and tart cherry notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is cherry forward with cereal malts in back. The tart cherry is nicely balanced with sweet cherry. I like this beer! -

Tall can from LCBO. Pours a massive frothy pinkish head with thick foamy lace and has a murky reddish coloured appearance. Lively carbonation. Aromas of cherries, wheat, yeast, some vanilla hints. Flavours are mostly gelatinous cherry, not pure but like jelly or jam, quite sweet and some milky lactose like hints in the finish. Definitely not as sour as expected which is for the best to savour the flavours and not have a mouth puckering astringent mouthfeel. It's fairly mild in the mouthfeel. Pretty good overall!

Quite a sweet dessert nose with what seems chocolate, caramel, but the cherries are in the background. Hazy red with a slight pinkish frothy head, average retention and some light foamy lacing spots. The taste is thankfully not as sweet, as the sour cherry flavours cut through this, and the dry mouthfeel is not syrupy. Hints of Graham cookies linger, and very mild tart. Quite a nice one with more alcohol for a sour, fruity one.
